Mission Appeal 2016

Hope you had a brilliant Christmas and New Year, we are absolutely delighted that Mission Christmas 2016 was such a huge success and that is thanks to you! We were overwhelmed to announce before Christmas that we gave gifts to 6,982 children however that total has since risen to over 7,000!

We would love to hear your comments and testimonials about your experience of being a drop off point, please email us anything you’d like to share. Every year the campaign grows and we are keen to improve so your input is extremely helpful.

As you can imagine things were very hectic in the last few days of Mission Christmas so if you still have a branded box and want us to collect it please let us know.

Thank you again for all your support!

Slains Kirk Building Update November 2016

The Slains Kirk Task Group has continued to meet and has produced their final report detailing their recommendations to the Kirk Session. The Kirk Session met on Tuesday where there was a discussion regarding the report. After a couple of minor clarifications the report was accepted and will go forward. The next stage is to set up a smaller group to put together a presentation to the congregation so they can vote on the which option they would like to go for.

It's really important that when there is a chance to vote that as many people from the whole parish (especially the Slains / Collieston) area come to vote. Unfortunately only people on the congregational roll are eligable to vote.

The presentation (whatever format that is in) will likely be in place early in 2017, along with the vote.

The report that went to the Kirk Session is available below.
